Tonia Garnett, LCSW

My goal is to empower women with hope and purpose.  I have always been conscious about my health and desired a healthy and energetic life but found myself depressed, divorced and emotionally and physically unhealthy. In January 2016, I took full responsibility and took my life and health more seriously and have implemented changes in my own lifestyle that ignited a desire to see all women experience transformation in their bodies and lives.

I have been in the social work field for over 15 years as a case manager, counselor and supervisor and have held several positions in foster care, public housing, DCFS, healthcare, domestic violence and a public school system. After losing my sister to domestic violence in 2005, I dedicated most of my time and energy educating, advocating and a service to women in an effort to break the cycle of violence.

I founded KG Wellness LLC in my hometown of Chicago and have transitioned into a full virtual counseling practice providing a holistic approach to journey through life transitions, trauma, depression and anxiety through talk therapy, mindfulness, nutrition support, and movement. It is a unique approach to empowerment and change.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois (#149.021403) and California (#111263) who holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I am currently living in beautiful Glendale, California and have three adults sons, four grandchildren and two grand dogs.
